Of the many challenges faced by the artisan, one kept haunting me and that was that the artisan was not making enough money! Too many artisans are selling their creations so low that they can barely get by.

The initial purpose of our website is to create awareness and bring the beautiful and unique works of Mexican artisans to the world over, artezzanos.com at a future time intends to bring to you artisan creations from all of latin america.

There are millions of artisans that do not have the ability or knowhow to export their works of art and therefor are only able to sell their creations domestically and most of the time out of their houses or in local open air markets.

What we have created is a pathway and platform for the Artisan to export their handmade products, sell and show the world their talents.

Through our many travels throughout Mexico, we discovered their plight. After talking to many many artisans we became aware of the many difficulties and challenges the artisan faces.

Even the lucky few that are able to sell beyond their patio or local flea markets, are pounded by distributors and wholesalers on pricing, constantly trying to get the artisan to sell at a lower price, forcing the artisan into a poverty cycle that they can't seem to break.

Too many artisans fear, that their art and traditions are being lost because many of the new generations are reluctant to continue. They say that their children have seen how their fathers, grandfathers and many times great grandfathers have not been able to break the cycle of "just getting by"

For every one artisan that is successfully exporting their products and making a good living, there are thousands that are still living in extreme poverty.

Artezzanos has witnessed first hand the artisans struggles and has created a platform to help the artisan sell their creations abroad in the USA and the rest of the world.
