Scrap metals lie in large supply around the world, and with these large amounts of them, it was only a matter of time before creative people could find ways to repurpose and use them as canvas for inspiring artistic interpretations.

From junkyards, welding and mechanic workshops, these creative artisans envision the concept for their works by observation and study of each piece they get their hands on.

After gathering the parts, they need to fulfill the amazing concepts they envision, they start de-rusting or de-greasing each one of the parts depending on the materials they are going to use, all to make sure that the metals truthfully express through their textures and shapes what the artisan wants to represent.

Depending on the nature of the concept for the piece, some parts are then sanded, cut or smeared to obtain the right amount of polish sought for the representation of the piece.

Once every component selected for the piece has been properly treated and adapted, the welding process commences, and one by one, the sometimes thoroughly selected pieces start becoming elements of a bigger whole concept.

After the welding process is over and some extra cleaning is done to remove any remaining soot or dust, artisans apply lacquer coatings of different tones that help unifying the colors, tones and textures of the metal pieces.

In the end, artisans achieve a bigger representation, a masterful interpretation of reality or fantasy magically interpreted through common materials usually set aside, but that in the right hands, can become never-ending sources of inspiration.
